Aasimar

Aasimar

The Aasimar are mortals touched by the celestial realm, their souls infused with the light of the divine. This otherworldly heritage manifests in a radiant presence and supernatural abilities, including the capacity to channel divine energy for healing or in combat. Driven by a strong sense of justice and a desire to protect the innocent, they serve as holy warriors, compassionate healers, or as guides, all united by a higher purpose.

Traits

Every species has unique traits that define their abilities and characteristics. The Aasimar species attains all of the following bonus traits:

Celestial Resistance

When subjected to radiant or necrotic damage, roll 1d4 to invoke your celestial fortitude, reducing the damage taken by the number rolled.

Healing Hands

As an action, you can touch a creature and cause it to regain hit points equal to your level. You can use this feature once per long rest.

Light Bearer

You know the light cantrip. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it.

Their bodies burn with holy fire, purging evil in searing bursts.

  • Radiant Consumption: Starting at 3rd level, you can use your action to unleash the divine energy within yourself, causing a searing light to radiate from you.

Fallen

Once luminous, now cloaked in shadows that whisper of lost grace.

  • Necrotic Shroud: Starting at 3rd level, you can use your action to unleash the divine energy within yourself, causing your eyes to turn into pools of darkness and two skeletal, ghostly, flightless wings to sprout from your back.
